Ah, spring is here and summer is approaching. And that means lots of outdoor activities, paddling, hiking, biking, swimming, and one of my favorite pastimes, seeing live music at outdoor venues. #5 Twenty One Days to a New You
Exercise. So when I decided randomly on a Thursday afternoon to start the Beachbody 21 Day Fix program, I was really excited to burn some major calories. I was also intimidated because I have started and failed so many workout programs over the years. But, the 21 Day Fix, in my opinion, is the perfect way to ease into regular exercise. I love that it’s only 30 minutes a day. I prefer the “Real Time”version of the program because the cast is entertaining. There is also a modifier on the cast, who takes it down a notch from Autumn, so I felt successful in the program from day one. Additionally, the Beachbody On Demand app makes it possible to do workouts on the go and there’s a smart tv app. But you’re probably wondering what my results were, am I right? I became more slim and toned, lost several inches from my waist and belly, and increased my strength considerably. More than that, I felt strong and vital, and better than I have in a long time. But, as far as the evil scale and weight, I only lost 4 pounds. Now, that might not sound impressive stacked up to my husband’s fifteen, but I built muscle and let’s be real it isn’t about the number on the scale, it’s about being comfortable in my clothes. Yeah - you read that right, my husband did the 21 Day Fix, too - and he lost fifteen pounds!
